Bush to Bolster Abbas and Push for Peace Talks
By HELENE COOPER
The Bush administration signaled that it will use its remaining months to make a major push for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Given the way that Bush has botched everything to date in the Middle East, I wonder if he is up to the job or if making Blair its special peace envoy to the Middle East, will bring about an end to the stalemate. It seems that Mr Blair has huge confidence in his powers of persuasion but is this going to be enough for these war-torn Countries to be willing to come to the table and enable Bush to leave a legacy of peace rather than misery?
