BALTIMORE (AP) (AP) — The Army has thrown out the conviction of the only officer court-martialed in the Abu Ghraib scandal, bringing an end to the four-year investigation and drawing complaints from human rights activists of a Pentagon whitewash.
Lt. Col. Steven L. Jordan was cleared this week of any criminal wrongdoing by Maj. Gen. Richard J. Rowe, commander of the Military District of Washington. Jordan was instead given an administrative reprimand, a blot on his record.

I discovered today that Nazi War Criminal Donald {von Weichs} Rumsfeld had a complaint filed against him in France for his role in instituting Torture at Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Abu Ghraib and many other Military Prisons in Iraq.

WASHINGTON — The only U.S. military officer charged in the abuse of Abu Ghraib prisoners tried to convince a military judge Monday to toss out statements he made denying that he saw prisoners mistreated.
Jordan and his attorneys said he wasn't properly advised of his rights, which include the right not to answer questions, while being interviewed during two different investigations in the first half of 2004.
Asked by his defense lawyer if Fay advised him of his rights, Jordan replied emphatically, "No sir, never."
Jordan is charged with eight offenses, including cruelty and maltreatment of detainees through forced nudity, misuse of military working dogs, and lying to investigators. He could be sentenced to 22 years in prison if convicted.

Does Mr. Jordan really expect this to fly? Anyone over the age of, let's say, 13, knows his rights! We hear this all day every day on TV shows Like CSI, Law and Order, blah, blah, blah. let's face it here buddy, you screwed up! You know, I am no fan of torture and misuse of POW's . In My View of It, this guy needs to shut-up, let his Attorney do his job and then suffer the consequences, whatever they may be. Quit your whining Mr. Jordan!
