What shall we then do?

"If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly." For some reason, people don't understand this. But it is a ringing defense of the amateur, the person who does a wide variety of things out of love rather than one specialized thing out of mere professionalism.
Man has always lost his way. There is a greater disparity than ever between the rich and poor. Our families are falling apart, our schools are in utter chaos, our basic freedoms are under assault. It affects every one of us.
Apathy has infested our hearts. It is why some can commit suicide, why some can kill others, why some can fight, why some can simply watch the brief newsflashes fluttering across a vacant screen being received by even more vacant eyes.
We Americans suffer from insularism and denial, nothing seems to raise us out of our apathy. It is symptomatic of an insidious general malaise, rooted in a disturbing national detachment.

What shall we then do?

We The Sheeple

From the August 2001 Idaho Observer:
We the Sheeple...
by Joe Larson
In the following re-write of the Preamble to the Constitution rests my assessment of the true message being delivered to an apathetic American public by the global socialists.
***
We the sheeple of the United States, in order to form a more socialistic, humanistic government, establish true social justice, insure politically correct speech, provide for the complete disarming of all Americans, promote the general welfare state, and to secure the blessings of servitude to our beloved government forever do hereby decimate and subvert the Constitution of the United States.
Because ...we hold these truths to be self evident, that;
1. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic
we are a true democracy [mobocracy].
2. We are no longer a Christian nation
we are a human secularist society
3. We are no longer rugged and self-reliant
we are too self-absorbed
4. We are no longer responsible for our actions
we are victims
5. We no longer want individualism
we want group approval
6. We no longer want self-determination
please tax us, regulate us and control us
7. We no longer want religion and morality
we crave diversity, perversity and acceptance
8. We are longer capable of self government
we have grown soft, ignorant and dependant
9. We are no longer fearful of government (i.e. the Founding Fathers)
we demand to be taken care of
10. Alexis deTocqueville was right!
[We] “The American People are so enamored of equality that they [we] would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.”

Joseph Larson is chairman of Restoring America (restoringamerica.org). Larson's organization is spearheading a major effort to network groups of Americans from all over the nation that are fighting for the peaceful restoration of our rights to life, liberty and happiness. Restoring America is also in the process of building a comprehensive and user friendly website that is designed to integrate, by category, information most vital to the restoration of our Constitutional Republic.
