World's Oldest Person Dies at Age 116
A 116-year-old American women who was listed as the world's oldest person died Monday at a nursing home in Memphis, Tenn.
Elizabeth Bolden was born Aug. 15, 1890, and was recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest person in August, after the death of a 116-year-old woman in Ecuador, the Associated Press reported.
Bolden had lived at the Mid-South Health and Rehabilitation Center for several years. She suffered a stroke in 2004 and spoke little after that and slept most of the time, her family said.
The family said Bolden had 40 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 150 great-great grandchildren, 220 great-great-great grandchildren and 75 great-great-great-great grandchildren, the AP reported.
It's expected that 115-year-old Emiliano Mercado del Toro of Puerto Rico, born Aug. 21, 1891, will now be recognized as the world's oldest person, Guinness researcher Robert Young said.

I saw this and just had to Blog it! Can you imagine all that this woman has seen in her lifetime? I wondered as I was reading this what she thought of all the changes? She probably appreciated the invention of Washing Machines, perhaps Dryers, the Telephone and the Television..wonder what she thought of all the other stuff...Politics, Crime, Goverments, War - I wonder what she thought of all the Bull Shit that has gone on in her lifetime???
