Congressional leaders negotiated a new immigration bill. Unfortunately, as the NY Times Editorial Board explains, in trying to craft a proposal that would be acceptable to everyone, they have created an abomination.
I don't know about you but I am getting pretty fed up with this Immigration Issue.
This Country was founded by Immigrants who came here and did what was required of them to become US Citizens. What the hell is the problem here?
In My View of It we have something like 12 million people coming into this Country illegally and bitching because they are not getting it handed to them fast enough.
Quit your bitching, get down to the Immigration Office, learn our language, and do what you need to do to become a Citizen, but while your doing it, how about not breaking our laws?

The problem is that virtually all of the illegal immigrants could not come here legally under the present laws. When prior immigrants came here the laws were loose cos they were needed for the industrial revolution, factories. When they need for masive numbers ended the rules tightened up--there has always been a xenophobic and racist element at work in the formulation of immigration policy--and it only gives in the face of need or reality--and reality is the case here where there has to be give--there are 12 million illigal Mexican and Latin American immigrants and there is no real way to remove them--and the economy couldn't handle it anyway--so the xenophobia and racism will have to politically give way again.The new bill addresses this problem. There is no way it is going to solve the problem of illegal immigration--but it addresses the immediate problems of the illegal immigrants who are now residing here and part of the labor force.

Mass Amnesty And The End Of America

THE KEY POINTS
- The plan is the biggest amnesty ever and legalizes 25 to 30 million illegal immigrants (not the 14 million as reported).
- Rampant illegal immigration and its promotion by the US government is part of a stated agenda to merge the US into a pan-American union with Mexico and Canada and replace the dollar with the Amero. Destroying the middle class and erecting a de facto world government is in process.
- Faux neo-conservative talk show hosts are the most avid cheerleaders of the mass amnesty program, feeding poison to their listeners by claiming Bush is getting tough on the border issue and associating empty solutions like 6,000 unarmed national guard troops with the necessity to pass the guest worker program.
- Liberals are supporting Bush's number one demand while their idol Hillary Clinton dines with Rupert Murdoch.

- The blanket amnesty guest worker program includes a provision that if you're a felon the new law doesn't apply, yet the legislation includes a trap door that allows felons to remain if they have a "hardship" or family within the country. This is akin to putting a band-aid on a severed leg.
- The recent immigration protests were run by Vicente Fox and Bush administration PR firm Rob Allyn and Co. and were whipped up by the Spanish media weeks in advance as a mobilization of a fifth column to bully the American people.
- The media gives a positive spin to the immigration protests yet applies negative connotations to any anti-war or property rights protest.
- On the surface the protests were labeled "a day without immigrants" yet in reality the organizers called the protest "a day without gringos" and this was reported by the Associated Press.
- Bush has tied the smoke and mirrors ploy of "getting tough" to his blanket amnesty program which legalizes all illegal aliens and anyone that can get into the country for the next six years, as well as allowing corporations to fly in skilled and unskilled workers to further eviscerate Americans' jobs.

No Benefits for Illiegal Immigrants?
It is already impossible to live on Social Security alone. If they give benefits to "illegal" aliens who have never contributed, where does that leave us that have paid into Social Security all our working lives? The Senate voted this week to allow "illegal" aliens access to Social Security benefits.

OK..This pretty much symbolizes Christmas right?? Almost everyone has a tree for Christmas!
I am now reading that AirPorts are having to take their Christmas Trees down because it isn't "Politicaly Correct" This is the United States after all, and we have a diverse cutural enviroment. The key word here is this is the "United States"..I am not saying that one should not celebrate the holiday as they wish, I am saying you came to this Country...don't expect us to bend to suit you!! This has become just ridiculous...IMOSHO! What is wrong that we cannot even have Christmas without upsetting some other group of people??? I say if you come to the U.S. then you need to adapt to our ways..not vice versa...if you don't like it here..go back where you came from, or, quit your bitching!!
