Please listen to this video as it says to you what I would if I had the words.

ICE CASTLES IN THE SKY

by Rod Walford
Oh! you elected minions, who in your towers of ivory repose
Insulated by cocoons woven from broken threads of promised intent;
Twisting words with eloquence to suit your purpose
As it bends and sways in the fickle draught of self-indulgence.
You dwell among the ramparts of power and control
Treading the dark corridors of deception and trickery;
Behind the iron barred portcullis of the fortress of bureaucracy
Where well meaning hearts, fast hardened in the dollar’s white-hot forge
Become as tempered steel - a sword to strike at freedom’s hard won shield.
What misguided force is it that seeks to govern the human spirit?
Never will it surrender to the intrusive microchip, nor become slave to oppressive dictates.
Freedom? She will ride high in her victory, as sure as there is only one true flight.
As the arrow, straight from the bow flies, so the words from the hearts of the just shall penetrate the transparent walls of your ice castles in the sky.
Your crystalline fragments shall fall, shattered in ignominy, And the root of all evil be exposed for its true worth.
Ah! That you and I are one in spirit!
Fellow poets, and seekers of the truth, that we may see the secrets of the impostor, and thus protect our world of shared beauty.
Let us rejoice in our unity, and be secure in empathy, yes, and stronger still!
That we may know our spirit will be carried to a place far beyond the melting remnants of the ice castles in the sky.
How appropo even though it was written in 1999

May God Bless You

May God Bless you

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, superficial relationships, so that you will live deep within your heart.

May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people so that you will work for justice, equality and peace.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you will reach out your hand to comfort them and change their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with the foolishness to think that you can make a difference in the world, so that you will do the things which others tell you cannot be done.

To My Kindred Spirit - Palms

To My Kindred Spirit
by Todd-Michael St. Pierre

We share secrets, we laugh and even cry,We have so much in common,Concerns, likes and dislikes.
Ours is a relationship joined by Tender velvet chains that link our similar dreams of life and love.
A gentle intuition guides us in our individual struggles to succeed at the things we pursue, to stand out from the crowd.
In you I have found so much of myself, Including many of the same Insecurities and philosophies.
Complete inner-peace and happiness, These are the things I wish for you, in the present and in the future because you are my kindred spirit.

'Twas the night before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the houseNot a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;The children were nestled all snug in their beds,While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
way to the window I flew like a flash,Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snowGave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,With a little old driver, so lively and quick,I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen!On, Comet! On Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!
s dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roofThe prancing and pawing of each little hoof.As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
e was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.His eyes -- how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
he stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;He had a broad face and a little round belly,That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
e spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,And laying his finger aside of his nose,And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

We met upon the Internet,
A friendship electronic,
Expressed alone in words and thoughts,
Inevitably platonic.
We live too far apart for us To mingle in the flesh,
But much more close than family,
Our hearts and feelings mesh.
Your dear, dear self reveals itself Without a voice or face.
We have our own sweet home within Our precious cyberspace.
This is not an original...I don't know who the author is. It is however an accurate comment of how "friendships" develop online...Seems so much easier than face to face somehow?
