Bush still backs Wolfowitz. What message does this send?

Aboard Air Force One today, President Bush stated that Paul Wolfowitz continues to have the full support of the Bush Administration.

As one country after another are questioning Wolfowitz’s ability to lead the World Bank after internal investigations found him guilty of breaking bank policies and rules over a hefty promotion for his companion, Shaha Riza, Bush continues to stand by his man.

This sends a bad message to the world, a very bad message. Wolfy, Gonzo, Rovey, among others have all been under intense scrutiny involving political wrong doing, but Bush has continued to give his full, unconditional support to these political “evil doers.”

The message is loud and clear. Not only does Bush tolerate political wrong doing in his administration, he seems to encourage it as well.
