God didnt stop 9/11.
Good people put themselves in danger because of it, and others kill because of it.
Stop religion, and you'll end all war.
It would take a miracle to free them- and we all know thats just not coming.

I totally and completely disagree with you here. It is impossible to know what "all" Muslims think and feel. I do not support what they are doing in this situation to these poor people and it is both frightening and tragic, but, it is not 'all' Muslims doing it.

Again I disagree. Stopping Religion is not the answer either. Respecting each others Religious Beliefs may go far but not even that will end wars. God is a mystery to me, who knows why things happen the way they do. I do know that without Religion, many people would lose their hope.

I partially agree with both Carol and anonymous. I would never generalize an entire segment of the worlds population as being hateful or evil. At the same time, people say we should respect each others religious views, and I agree, except that hasn't really been working out for the last 2000+ years. Every century for the last 2 millenium has had wars in the name of religion where countless innocent people, as well as soldiers, have died. Even though they were religious wars, most did not originate as such. Leaders "sold" their wars to the masses using God and religion in order to justify thier cause, whether it be for good or for personal gain.

Yes there have been many wars in the name of religion where countless innocent people, as well as soldiers, have died. But that is the nature of war. The public needs to be 'sold' in order for a war to take place. Unfortunately God and Religion have been used to justify this. Not this war however, this war is about oil and soil.

This isn't a war of religions, or even a war of cultures. It's a war between people living in the modern era, and people living in the stone age with a stone age mentality. They view discussion as weakness and altruism as cowardice. They only speak one language, and that is violence and they will use anything or anyone to further their conversation.
