The White House and Justice Department on Executive Privilege for Rove

The White House, as expected, claimed executive privilege with regard to testimony by Karl Rove and Rove's aide Scott Jennings about the U.S. attorney firings. You can see that letter here.

In my view of it the only way we are ever going to get to the bottom of this fiasco is if Congress starts imprisoning witnesses who refuse subpoenas in the Capitol basement. This constant stonewalling is getting pretty old Mt. President - what are you hiding?
