This Just Pisses me Off!

Navy: Message may have been hoax

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — A threatening radio message at the end of a video showing Iranian patrol boats swarming near U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf may have come from a prankster rather than from the Iranian vessels, the Navy Times newspaper has reported.

Now they are saying that some guy who they call "the Filipino Monkey" a heckler widely known among sailors in the region, played a practical joke by heckling the Navy Warships.
Apparently it is alright for Sailors to use racial epitaphs......

The Navy Times quoted Rick Hoffman, a retired captain, as saying a renegade talker repeatedly harassed ships in the Gulf in the late 1980s.
"For 25 years there's been this mythical guy out there who, hour after hour, shouts obscenities and threats," he said. "He could be tied up pierside somewhere or he could be on the bridge of a merchant ship," Hoffman said.

So now we are expected to believe that this is something that has been going on for 25 years yet this is the first that we hear about it? At least it is the first time I have ever heard of it, what about you?
Meanwhile Bush is spewing his poison all over the Middle East about how Iran is a threat to world security.
Is he not in posession of this 'new information' and if he is, why doesn't he shut up?

When I first heard the Iran-U.S. Navy incident, I was a bit skeptical. It did not help that Powell have lied to U.N. before about some satellite photos showing Iraqis mobile weapon lab. Then coincidentally one of the news for the day is about how U.S. escalated Vietnam war based on fake incident. The “Report reveals Vietnam War hoaxes, faked attacks” article from AFP includes a retelling of 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident.

As they say, "It's better to be pissed off than pissed on," m'dear. I can't help but wonder if the alleged prankster hangs out at Delphiforums?
