Parents Fight Over Which Gang Toddler Should Join; A Problem all Parents Must Face.

Add gang affiliation to the list of schools, vaccinations and friends in the pile of decisions you as parents must make during your kids formative years. A mom who is a Crip and the dad, a Westside Baller recently caused a public disturbance that led to the father’s arrest in Commerce City, Colorado last Saturday.

Joseph Manzanares, a.k.a. the nineteen year old dad in this situation was arrested for storming into the Hollywood Video store where his girlfriend worked, threatening to kill her and knocking over several video displays and even a computer, Commerce City police Sgt. Joe Sandoval said.

His girlfriend told police that they had been arguing about the upbringing of their son and which gang he should belong to. The teen mother, who is black, is a member of the Crips. Manzanares is Hispanic and belongs to the Westside Ballers gang, the woman said.

“They have different ideas on how the baby should be raised. Basically, she said they cannot agree on which gang the baby would ‘claim,’” Sandoval said.

I really don't see the problem here doesn't everybody know that a child ought to claim the gang of the mother?
