Farah Nosh photographed and interviewed Iraqis wounded in the war.
The CIA recently acknowledged the existence of two documents that establish U.S. policy on the detention and interrogation of terrorism suspects.
The first document is a directive signed by President Bush giving the CIA authority to establish detention facilities outside the U.S. and outlining interrogation methods that may be used against detainees. The second is a 2002 memo from the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel to the CIA’s general counsel regarding interrogation methods the CIA may use against al-Qaeda leaders.
Please urge Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to release these documents.
